Can You Turn Into A Morning Person?

By Adi Golani

I'm a huge believer in morning workouts as it starts your metabolic furnace and ensures you'll actually get that workout done. But what if you're not a morning person and addicted to hitting your alarm’s snooze button too many times in the morning? It seems that everyone can't be a morning person. For many of us, it’s hard enough to motivate ourselves to get out of our warm, cozy beds, let alone think about tackling an early morning workout.

So what's the solution ??

1. Set your alarm to blood-pumping beats
Instead of dreading that incessant buzz that wakes you up, opt for an upbeat, motivating song. You may find that something as simple as switching up the sound brightens your morning mood.

2. Keep the alarm away from your bed
Set up your alarm clock in a location that requires you to get out of bed to turn it off.

3. Prep for success
It helps to do as much preparation as possible the night before. Lay out your exercise clothes, shoes, and gear by your bed. Fill up a water bottle and store it in the fridge.

4. Splash yourself
Once you got out of bed, splash your face with cold water. This is an automatic wake up that will get you started and ready for the day.

5. Crash early
Go to bed earlier than normal the night before. Turn off the TV, close your laptop and your phone and hop to bed.

So, next time you have an early meeting or the 6 am buRn is full, try our 5 am classes. You might be surprised by the feeling of starting your morning in such an energetic way that you may become addicted to the early morning lifestyle!  You never know until you try.
